What you need

  • A recipient address of its own for Swedbank Pay. Diffa creates it when you add the source and shows it on the connection.
  • Swedbank Pay mails the settlements there. Ask your sales contact or kundsupport@swedbankpay.se for it, preferably weekly or more often.
  • Both settlement files, the Balance Report as PDF and the Transaction List as XML. Diffa cannot read the Excel version.
  • The mails must come straight from Swedbank Pay. If you forward them yourself they are not read.

How it works

Swedbank Pay pays out weekly or monthly according to your agreement. Each settlement comes as two files that Swedbank Pay mails to Diffa. Diffa books the web sales and the refunds against what was paid out. A settlement in a currency other than kronor is converted at the Riksbank's rate. If a settlement mixes several currencies it waits until someone has looked at it.

Swedbank Pay deducts its fees from the settlement. The fees carry Swedish VAT, 25 percent today. Diffa books the VAT as input VAT so the company can deduct it.

  1. Diffa reads the files as soon as the mail has arrived.
  2. Diffa sees for each sale whether it was made online or in store. A new point of sale waits until it is approved.
  3. If you choose one voucher per day the web sales are booked on their own day. The fees and the payout wait until both files have arrived. If one is missing you see it on the connection.
  4. Diffa checks that the sales minus fees and VAT come to what Swedbank Pay paid out. If they differ by more than one öre the settlement waits and Diffa shows why.

What you get

  • Web sales and refunds with VAT. You decide whether the vouchers are grouped per day, per settlement or per sale. With the cash method it is always one voucher per settlement.
  • Swedbank Pay's fees for card, invoice and other payment methods, with the VAT as input VAT.
  • Sales in store are not booked again. The till has already booked them and Diffa only counts them against the payout.
  • A refund that belongs to no known sale goes to an account for items to investigate, with Swedbank Pay's reference.
  • If you book per settlement both files go with the voucher as supporting documents.

The vouchers go to the program you have connected, that is Fortnox, Spiris, Bokio, Björn Lundén or Accounted.

Common questions

How does Diffa get the reports?
Swedbank Pay mails them to the address on the connection. A mail from a sender Diffa has not approved is not read. It is deleted after 30 days unless the sender is approved.
What if only one of the files arrives?
Then the fees and the payout wait. One file has the fees and the amount paid out. The other has the sales.
How does Diffa know the VAT on a sale?
Swedbank Pay states the VAT on the sale when it has it. Otherwise the rate you chose for the source is used. If that gives no Swedish VAT rate the sale waits for a rate.
I have Swedbank Pay card acquiring in store. Is that the same connection?
No. Card acquiring in store has its own reports and is its own source in Diffa.
